Pretty sure Butler would have to clear waivers to play at Albany. Tedenby has played in over 100 NHL games and is 22 years old. Not sure if waivers apply to him but he is entering his third year as a pro. You need to look that up.

I think there are too many categories. The problem is that at some point by having all of the categories available, all players are going to have value. Fantasy hockey needs a way to determine worth of player in statistics in a sport in which there aren't many advanced stats to work off of. So, we all know that your third line defensive forward is really a valuable asset to a real team but in fantasy hockey shouldn't win you as many categories as a second line goal scorer.

thats what makes it challenging tho, imo. A manager needs to draft to have the best of all types of players. Point producing forwards with good +/-, top faceoff guys, forwards and D that have a lot of hits, shots.. a balance of defense that blocks shots and puts up points.. and then guys that get PIMs. Everyone drafts differently but I like the challenge. There are more stats i could add on .. this is about 2/3 of them.

in addition, having 20 teams and full rosters makes this more fitting and applicable. you need specialty players for some of these stats. you need to know the league and depth of teams and their 3rd liners. I enjoy it.

Well, point producing forwards on bad teams have bad +/- ratings because +/- is a rating of irrelevance rather than skill.

These are the stats I'm running in my league:
Skaters - G, A, PIM, BLK, DEF (Defenseman points), PPP
Goalies - W, SV, SO, GAA

I want to get rid of SO because it's basically random and I want to take randomness out of the equation.
